Lets Go On a Leaf Hunt

We continue to study Fall, by examining the changes that occur during this season. We read "Lets Go On a Leaf Hunt," a story about collecting leaves from different trees. We then went on a leaf hunt ourselves, with the goal of finding three different types of leaves. While on our walk, we found different leaves and were able to tell they were different by comparing their shapes and sizes. The children all found at least three different types of leaves and brought them back to further examine in the classroom while discussing their sizes, shapes and colors.
