Today our class read "Amelia Bedelia's First Apple Pie" by Herman Parish. T
his book was perfect for Apple Week! One of our favorite pages is when Amelia goes to the market with her Granddad and she sees bushels of different apples! We loved reading the different apple names. There are so many wonderful apples with silly names.
We then learned how a apple grows! The class got to see the life cycle of an apple on the smart board. After seeing how a apple grows we all had to "catch" apples. In the game "Catch The Apples" the students catch apples by choosing correct letters that fall from the sky.
