Today the class took part in apple taste-testing. We wanted to to find out what apple the students liked best; Granny Smith or Red Delicious Apples. Taste-testing is a real way to engage the student's in learning. We observed, we discussed, we sorted, we graphed, we compared data, and we wrote about our findings. The class was able to use all of their senses during the activity. I saw language development throughout this activity. I love to hear how the student's described the apples, and class learned new ways to discuss what they’re sensing.
