Teaching through the Nativity

This week we will be learning about Advent. Advent is a Latin word that means "coming". Advent is time of preparation and waiting for the birth of Jesus. We read the book Llama Llama Holiday Drama by Anna Dewdney. The book helped us understand the true meaning of the holiday season. "Wishing, waiting, wanting thing... we forget what this time brings. Gifts are nice, but there's another - the true gift is we have each other"
