Today we read the book “Big Dog...Little Dog”. After reading the story we measured each child using yarn! Everyday activities and experimenting with real objects help children understand measurement concepts. We used yarn today as a non standard unit of measurement. Once the activity was done we place different types of measuring tapes in the math area so that the children could continue with experimenting with measurement.
