Growing Plants Experiment

Now that Spring is here, it’s time to think about growing plants! Growing Planting is a wonderful experience for preschoolers. It’s important for the students to understand what plants need to grow. We did a simple science experiment to demonstrate to the students what plants need.

We read The Surprise Garden by Zoe Hall and talked about what plants need to grow. Then, we choose places for the plants to sit around the classroom. Some ideas where plants might grow is in the window, on a shelf, and in a cabinet. At the end of next week we will take them all out to compare the growth of the plants!
