Math Monsters
Who says there are no monsters in math?? The Math Monsters are a fun tool for teaching students the concepts greater
than and less than. I wrote two simple numbers on the board -- for example, the numbers 14
and 19 -- and asked the students which number they think the monster wants to
eat. The class knew the monster wanted to eat the greater number, the number 19.
